India Sees Surge in Rare Earth Magnet Import License Applications Amid China's Export Tightening

Published: Jun 17, 2025 18:05
According to foreign media reports, against the backdrop of China tightening its rare earth export controls, the number of Indian companies applying for licenses to import rare earth magnets from China has increased from 11 to 21. Despite India approving the "National Critical Minerals Mission" early this year, the country's automotive supply chain demand remains difficult to meet due to a lack of advanced separation and refining processes.
