NKT and Hydro Sign Strategic Deal for Low-Carbon Aluminum Wire to Accelerate Green Transformation

According to sources, in order to accelerate the green transformation of the power cable industry chain, Denmark's NKT-Nordiske Kabel Traadfabriker (NKT) Group recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hydro.

Under the contract, which is valid until 2033, Hydro will provide NKT with low-carbon aluminum wire worth approximately 1 billion euros (approximately 8.1 billion yuan), which will significantly enhance NKT's market supply capability in the medium- and high-voltage cable sector.
