Ningbo Zinc: Traders Take a Laid-Back Approach to Sales, Premiums Remain Unchanged from Yesterday [SMM Midday Review]

SMM News, February 21: The mainstream transaction price of 0# zinc in the Ningbo market was around 24,030-24,200 yuan/mt. Conventional brands in Ningbo quoted a discount of 10 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract and a premium of 10 yuan/mt against Shanghai spot. Mainstream quotes in Ningbo were based on the 2503 contract. During the first time period, Yongchang quoted a discount of 10 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract, Qilin quoted a discount of 10 yuan/mt against the 2503 contract, and Honglu-v quoted on par with the 2503 contract. During the second time period, traders' quotes remained unchanged from the previous period. Today, traders in the Ningbo market were passive in their shipments. Spot premiums were basically flat compared to yesterday, while the futures market continued to rise. Spot transactions in the trading market remained sluggish. If consumption does not improve next week, premiums and discounts in Ningbo are unlikely to see any changes.
