Sichuan Launches 140,000 mt Annual Lithium Carbonate Project in Phases

[Sichuan's Annual 140,000 mt Lithium Carbonate Project Launched] On February 13, Sichuan Province held an on-site promotion event for major projects in Q1 2025. The project is divided into three phases, producing battery-grade lithium carbonate, industrial-grade sodium sulfate (used in the manufacture of glass, detergents, and paper), and sulphuric acid derived from sulphur. It is expected to complete the construction of a production line with an annual capacity of 40,000 mt of lithium carbonate by the end of this year and achieve full completion of the production line with an annual capacity of 140,000 mt of lithium carbonate by 2027.
