India's Solex Energy Launches 800MW N-Type Solar Module Production Line

Indian solar manufacturer Solex Energy Limited has officially launched its 800MW solar module production line in Gujarat.

Solex will produce n-type rectangular cell Tapi-R series TOPCon modules at its new plant, covering a power range of 585W-625W, using 182.2mm x 210mm, 132 half-size cells. Named after the Tapi River in India, the Tapi-R series modules have an efficiency of up to 23.14% and are suitable for use in harsh environments such as deserts and barren lands, the company said. The modules have a bifacial ratio of around 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C. Solex offers a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, claiming that the modules have the lowest annual attenuation rate.

With the launch of the 800MW production line, Solex’s module manufacturing capacity has increased to 1.5GW, with plans to further expand to 15GW by 2030. By June 2025, the company plans to add another 2.5GW of module production capacity, bringing the total to 4GW. Additionally, Solex announced in October 2024 its entry into solar cell manufacturing, with an initial plan to build 2GW of capacity, gradually expanding to 5GW.
