Beijing (Gasgoo)- In the first month of 2025, Chinese automaker BAIC Group reported a total vehicle sales volume of around 120,000 units, marking a 3.5% year-on-year increase, according to the company's WeChat post on Feb. 10.
The group's wholly-owned passenger vehicle brands showed remarkable performance, with January sales soaring 121.6% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, both the ARCFOX and BEIJING brands saw significant year-on-year sales growth in January.
Meanwhile, the company's export volume exceeded 18,000 units in the past month, achieving a 20% year-on-year growth, and reflecting the group's steadily accelerating global expansion.
In the commercial vehicle sector, Foton Motor stood out with over 50,000 vehicles sold in January. Its diverse product lineup and dependable quality continue to meet the varied needs of industries like logistics, helping to further increase its market share in the commercial vehicle segment.
BAIC Group's joint ventures also continued their strong growth trajectory. Beijing Hyundai, for instance, saw sales exceed 16,000 units in January, marking a more than 10% increase year-on-year, driven by product upgrades and strategic marketing adjustments.
