SMM has learned that on December 23, the Hubei Provincial Energy Administration issued a notice on ensuring energy safety production during the 2025 New Year and Chinese New Year holidays. The document specifies that for electrochemical energy storage power stations, in addition to implementing the relevant requirements of power enterprises, the focus is on inspecting whether the major accident hazard determination standards related to energy storage power stations, fire safety, and special equipment have been applied. This includes conducting hazard investigation and rectification on battery units, management systems, energy storage systems (ESS), and energy storage sites.
