It is reported that, according to the Ministry of Commerce, since September this year, China's trade-in program for electric bicycles has been progressing in an orderly manner, with the pace continuously accelerating. As of now, the nationwide trade-in quantity of electric bicycles has surpassed 1 million units. As of December 19, a total of 1.023 million units were sold and replaced nationwide, driving new vehicle sales of 2.73 billion yuan. The proportion of lead-acid battery-powered vehicles has significantly increased, effectively reducing existing safety risks. The number of sales outlets participating in the electric bicycle trade-in program has grown from 26,000 in early October to the current 41,000, an increase of 57.7%.
