[SMM Hot Topic: Political Bureau Meeting Releases Positive Signals, Can the Momentum for Steel Price Increases Sustain?] On December 9, 2024, the Central Political Bureau meeting concluded, with many positive signals released. The Central Economic Work Conference, held from December 11 to 12, has also concluded, further clarifying the arrangements for next year's economic work. The policy signals released at this meeting exceeded market expectations, and it is anticipated that domestic monetary policy will be more relaxed, which will help boost confidence in the stock and commodity markets. Upon the news, commodity futures broadly rose, with ferrous metals series futures leading the gains, and chemicals showing strength. By midday, coke and butadiene rubber had risen over 3%, rebar, glass, iron ore, HRC, and SHFE silver had increased over 2%, and coking coal had nearly reached a 2% rise.
