[SMM Nickel Flash] Indonesia Plans to Establish Indonesia Metal Exchange to Boost Nickel Industry
At the 9th APAC Stainless Steel Industry Conference 2024, Meidy Katrin, Secretary General of the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI), revealed on Nov 5th that discussions have been held with officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade regarding the establishment of an Indonesian Metal Exchange.It is reported that the newly appointed Minister of Trade has expressed support for this plan and has agreed to advance the project. This move is expected to bring new development opportunities to Indonesia's nickel ore industry, further consolidating its important position in the global metal market.
