Recently, the Shaanxi section of the ±800 kV UHV DC power transmission project from Longdong to Shandong successfully achieved full-line completion.
The project originates in Qingyang City, Gansu Province, and passes through Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Hebei before reaching Tai'an City, Shandong Province. The total length of the line is 926.4 kilometers, with a transmission capacity of 8,000 megawatts. Among them, the Shaanxi section is 176.06 kilometers long, with 318 newly built tower foundations. The project spans mountains, rivers, and lake networks, facing complex natural conditions and significant construction challenges.
This project is a key initiative in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" for electric power development and is also China's first UHV project for "integrated wind, solar, thermal, and energy storage" power transmission. It is expected to be operational in 2025.
