The normalized profit for Ivanhoe Mines in the third quarter of 2024 was US$112 million, while the normalized profit for the third quarter of 2023 was US$95 million.

In the third quarter of 2024, Kamoa-Kakula sold 103,000 tonnes of copper, generating US$828 million in revenue, US$392 million in operating profit, and US$470 million in quarterly EBITDA. Prior to the completion of the smelter at the mine site, copper concentrates produced by the Phase III concentrator were sent to the Lualaba copper smelter for processing into blister copper for sale, in order to maximize profitability. Consequently, approximately 16,000 tonnes of copper contained in concentrates were stored at the mine's warehouse and the Lualaba copper smelter at the end of this quarter.
