Spain's Battery Project Reserve Soars to 11GW, with 6.5GW Grid-Connected, Aiding Renewable Energy Integration Amid Capacity Glut

Consulting firm Aurora revealed on Tuesday that Spain's battery project reserve has increased to 11GW, of which 6.5GW have obtained grid connection permits. These energy storage projects will provide support for Spain to cope with the growing intermittent renewable energy production capacity, especially in the face of overcapacity and frequent price declines, Spain needs to take measures to reduce production capacity.
