Bayannur Western Copper Materials Energy-Saving Upgrade Project Nears Completion, Boosting Copper Production to 150,000 Tons Annually

At the scene of the energy-saving and environmental protection upgrade project of Bayannur Western Copper Materials, it was observed that workers were debugging the equipment of the electrolysis workshop unit and installing copper busbars with the assistance of large machinery. The on-site construction manager of the project told that currently, 98% of the civil engineering work of the electrolysis workshop has been completed, and the construction of the cleaning workshop and cathode copper finished product warehouse is also proceeding in an orderly manner. The overall project will be completed in mid-October. The Bayannur Western Copper Materials Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Upgrade Project, a newly built project with an annual output of 100,000 tons of electrolytic copper, has a total investment of approximately 1.07 billion yuan and a construction area of 25,000 square meters. It includes new electrolysis workshops, supporting cleaning workshops, storage sheds, cathode copper warehouses, and other facilities. After the completion of the project, the new and old systems will operate in parallel, and the production of cathode copper will reach 150,000 tons per year. It is estimated that the total operating income will increase from the average of 3.6 billion yuan per year in the past three years to 12 billion yuan per year.
