Prices at the southern ports were: 42.5-43 yuan/tonne for Australian lump ore, 41.4-41.5 yuan/tonne for Australian seed ore, 30-30.5 yuan/tonne for South African semi-carbonate, 41-41.5 yuan/tonne for Gabonese ore, and 29-29.5 yuan/tonne for South African high-iron ore.
This week, manganese ore port inventories remained high, and it is expected that no manganese ore vessels will be received before the National Day holiday. Prior to the holiday, miners' quotations remained stable, with low willingness to sell at lower prices. Downstream silico-manganese plants are restocking before the National Day holiday, leading to more active inquiries in the manganese ore market and an increase in actual transactions. Supported by increased demand from downstream alloy plants, manganese ore prices have stabilized and halted their decline. Attention should still be paid to the purchasing situation of downstream alloy plants after the National Day holiday.
