SMM zinc ingot social inventory in seven regions decreased by 3,000 mt [SMM data]

According to the SMM survey, as of August 15, the total zinc ingot inventory in seven SMM regions was 134,100 mt, a decrease of 5,100 mt compared to August 8, and a decrease of 3,000 mt compared to August 12, with domestic inventory continuing to decrease. Inventories in Shanghai and Guangdong decreased significantly, with fewer warehouse arrivals in both regions during the week, and downstream restocked as needed, leading to a continued decline in inventory. Inventory in Tianjin slightly decreased, with fewer warehouse arrivals in Tianjin during the week, but ferrous metals prices continued to drag down galvanized consumption, resulting in little overall inventory change. Overall, the original three regions' inventory decreased by 2,500 mt, and the seven regions' inventory decreased by 3,000 mt.
