According to the cost and profit table of SMM imported ore, the profit of imported ore has declined again; SMM shipping data shows that the total amount of iron ore shipped globally last week was 35.52 million tons, an increase of 27.5% from the previous week. Among them, Australia shipped 21.07 million tons, an increase of 25.2% from the previous week; Brazil shipped 8.05 million tons, an increase of 52.7% from the previous week; Brazil shipped 3.98 million tons to China, accounting for 49.4% of the total volume of Brazil's shipments, an increase of 61.1% from the previous week. The total amount of iron ore arrived at Chinese ports was 26.05 million tons, a sharp increase of 26.82% from the previous week. At present, both iron ore shipments and arrivals are at seasonal highs. Although there is still room for increment in iron production this week, the overall supply is still relatively loose. At the same time, the high level of port inventory has suppressed the ore price. In addition, due to the frequent occurrence of extreme weather recently, the market holds a pessimistic attitude towards terminal demand. It is expected that the ore price will continue to show a weak and volatile trend in the short term, and there may still be room for further decline in the profit of imported ore.
