Chery Auto puts upgraded Arrizo 8 models onto market, starting at 122,900 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 16, Chery Auto introduced new versions of its signature sedan, the Arrizo 8, featuring 1.6T and 2.0T engines and added intelligence features.

The Arrizo 8 High-Performance Edition added the "Yu+" model, priced at 148,900 yuan, equipped with a new 2.0T+8AT powertrain, offering advanced performance. The 1.6T Arrizo 8 introduced the "Zhi" and "Rui" models, priced at 122,900 yuan and 128,900 yuan, respectively, featuring Qualcomm’s 8155 chip and 24.6-inch dual screens, enhancing its technological appeal.

The Arrizo series, developed by Chery to meet global standards, caters to the needs of young families worldwide in design, performance, handling, and safety. With the robust support of the Arrizo 8, global sales of the Arrizo series have surpassed one million units.

The latest upgrade includes the Arrizo 8 High-Performance Edition's new "2.0T Kunpeng Power + Fuzhen 8AT Transmission" advanced power combination, showcasing Chery's powertrain technology. Chery’s self-developed Fuzhen 8AT is the first domestically produced transmission fully developed from hardware to software, featuring high smoothness, efficiency, performance, and low weight.

The transmission offers eight speeds with a wide gear ratio of 7.8, ensuring minimal start-up shock, seamless shifting, and uninterrupted power delivery for smooth acceleration. With a mechanical efficiency of up to 96%, it incorporates new-generation friction plates and a fifth-generation tooth profile oil pump rotor design, reducing drag torque by up to 70%. The transmission's input shaft can handle up to 440N·m of torque, with theoretical wheel-end torque reaching 7,690N·m, and has undergone extensive simulation optimization and engagement spot verification, surpassing mainstream counterparts in NVH performance. Its compact structure, utilizing just two planetary gear sets, is 5kg lighter than comparable imported 8AT transmissions.

In addition to the performance upgrade, the new 1.6T Arrizo 8 models feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, 24.6-inch dual screens, four-way electric adjustment for the passenger seat, quad exhaust design, electric fuel tank cap, and voice-activated trunk opening, further enhancing its competitiveness.
