However, during the period from May 1st to 10th, the country's imports decreased by 6.7% year-on-year to US$17.4 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of nearly US$600 million. The strong sales of semiconductors have driven the growth of the country's overall exports. According to the released data, chip exports increased by 52% in the first ten days of this month, reaching US$3.01 billion.
