Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 20, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises held the "OASES Partnership Signing Ceremony," welcoming a new batch of key enterprises to Hong Kong or expanding their operations in the city. UISEE, a Chinese autonomous driving technology company, was among the 25 key enterprises participating in this signing.

In February of this year, UISEE, in collaboration with the Hong Kong SAR Government's InvestHK department, announced the establishment of its global headquarters in Hong Kong. Leveraging Hong Kong as a springboard, UISEE aims to expand its business worldwide and intends to establish an R&D center in Hong Kong, focusing on providing technical support for overseas development.

Through this signing, UISEE becomes an OASES partner of the Hong Kong SAR Government, actively driving upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises to settle in Hong Kong while promoting the more robust development of Hong Kong's innovation and technology ecosystem.

UISEE's collaborative innovation with Hong Kong began in 2017. Today, passengers waiting at Hong Kong International Airport can witness the bustling operation of UISEE's unmanned vehicle fleet from the terminal windows. With over 50 UISEE autonomous vehicles, the airport has achieved over 1,000 days of fully autonomous operational service, providing round-the-clock unmanned logistics and shuttle services, positioning Hong Kong International Airport as a global leader in multi-scenario, multi-vehicle unmanned vehicle operations.

Toyota Motor Corporation has decided to halt the development of its next-generation battery electric vehicles, specifically targeting a sedan model for its luxury brand Lexus that was originally planned to commence production in mid-2027. This vehicle, featuring fast-charging capabilities and longer cruising range, was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2023. Initially planned for market launch in 2026, its production start was later postponed to 2027. Over the past year, Toyota's global electric vehicle sales exceeded 190,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%. However, the decision by the Trump administration in the US to eliminate tax incentives for electric vehicle purchases has created adverse market conditions.
