According to customs data, the exports of domestic aluminum extrusion (tariff numbers 76041010, 76041090, 76042100, 76042910, 76042990) from January to February 2024 was 170,900 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.26% and a year-on-year increase of 35.36%. Among them, exports in January was 108,300 tons, a month-on-month increase of 21.86%, and a year-on-year increase of 23.55%; exports in February was 62,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 42.15%, and a year-on-year increase of 62.15%.
Among export registration places, the overall pattern has not changed much. Guangdong still dominated in February, accounting for 48.74%, followed by Shandong accounting for 15.05% and Jiangsu accounting for 9.49%. From the perspective of exports, affected by the Spring Festival holiday in February, exports in various places has shown a significant decline. At present, production and transportation have returned to normal levels.
Among exporting countries, India surpassed Vietnam to occupy the first place among exporting countries. The top ten exporting countries are still dominated by Southeast Asia. Among them, India ranked first, accounting for 6.18% of total; Vietnam accounted for 5.93%; and the Philippines accounted for 5.42%.
Overall, domestic aluminum extrusion exports increased significantly, mainly due to the domestic Spring Festival holiday, overseas pre-holiday stocking, and accelerated procurement and delivery. In addition, according to SMM research, domestic aluminum producers increased their demand for low-carbon certification.
