On February 1st, SMM reported that the battery-grade lithium carbonate index was at 95,730 yuan/ton, up 90 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The average price for battery-grade lithium carbonate was 94,300-99,800 yuan/ton, with an average of 97,100 yuan/ton, up 300 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The industrial-grade lithium carbonate was at 88,000-91,000 yuan/ton, with an average of 89,500 yuan/ton, up 300 yuan/ton from the previous working day.
In the lithium carbonate market, lithium salt factories maintained a strong price stance, while some downstream manufacturers faced order pressure. To maintain production and ensure sufficient inventory, coupled with increased logistics pressure before the Chinese New Year, downstream manufacturers' purchasing focus rose slightly.
In the industrial lithium carbonate market, the recent trend continued. Due to the gradual shrinkage of logistics in the Qinghai-Tibet region and the suspension of production by most recycling plants due to operational losses, the market supply of industrial lithium carbonate continues to decrease, leading to higher transaction prices.
