Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR maker Hesai Technology on January 5 announced that it has been nominated as the supplier of a leading international automotive brand for a fire new flagship electric vehicle model.
The flagship pure electric vehicle of this brand will integrate Hesai's ultra-high-definition long-range LiDAR, the AT128.
This collaboration marks Hesai's first-ever volume production agreement with a top-tier international automaker in the ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) sector. It underscores the global recognition and endorsement of Hesai's automotive LiDAR products.
According to Hesai, the partnering automotive enterprise is among the largest global automotive corporations, boasting a rich legacy and an extensive product line across various market segments.
Hesai pledges to unveil further details about this landmark partnership in the near future.
In the era of intelligent transformation within the automotive industry, LiDAR technology is progressively becoming a standard feature in smart vehicle models, owing to its advantages in interference resistance, true three-dimensional mapping, and high reliability. The Hesai AT128 LiDAR boasts a resolution of 1,200x128, delivering an extraordinary 1.53 million points per second in three-dimensional real-time data, enabling a far-reaching detection range of 200 meters (@10% reflectivity), ensuring high-reliability three-dimensional perception for vehicles, ultimately ensuring intelligent driving safety.
Since commencing mass production and delivery in 2022, the AT128 has been deployed onto multiple popular passenger vehicle models and secured volume production agreements for over 50 vehicle models from 15 mainstream automotive manufacturers and Tier1 suppliers.
