Notice on the Operation Management of Coal-fired Power Generation Units during the Recent Cold Wave and Low Temperature Weather issued by State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Dispatching Control Center
Recently, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Dispatching Control Center issued a notice on the operation management of coal-fired power generation units during the recent cold wave and low temperature weather. The notice stated that the temperature in Xinjiang has gradually decreased, and the overall electricity load has continued to rise. Due to the cold and windless characteristics of the wind power, it is anticipated that there will be a maximum electricity shortage of 3.5 million kilowatts in the entire network after the implementation of various power supply guarantee measures from the 16th to the 17th. In order to ensure reliable electricity supply this winter and spring, specific work requirements are as follows: 1. Strictly control the unplanned shutdown of units; 2. Strictly control the operation of units with insufficient output; 3. Enhance the peak capacity of units; 4. Strengthen the refined management of coal for power generation; 5. Strengthen information submission and supervision assessment.
