Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 4, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) released estimated sales data for new energy vehicles (NEVs) in November, spotlighting the delivery performance of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory.
The figures reveal that the factory delivered 82,432 Tesla vehicles in the past month, marking a notable rise of 14.3% from the previous month but also representing a 17.81% drop from a year ago.
Aside from Tesla, who ranked second place regarding NEV wholesales in the past month, other automakers also held their ground. BYD maintained its leading position with a monthly wholesale volume of 301,378 NEVs in November. Meanwhile, Geely came in third on the list with 65,034 NEVs delivered via wholesale.
Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 853,603 vehicles in the first eleven months of 2023, indicating a 30% year-on-year surge from that of a year ago.
Of particular note, Tesla disclosed in its Q3 2023 financial report that the annual production capacity of the Shanghai Gigafactory has escalated to over 950,000 units. This significant milestone marks an impressive advancement in Tesla's production capabilities and efficiency in 2023.
