For the week ending November 2, prices of electrolytes remained stable. The cost of the key component, LiPF6, continued its decline, while solvent and additive prices stayed generally steady. On the supply side, electrolyte factories were producing based on demand, with some still ramping up their production, while others chose to postpone expansion and production due to market oversupply. Demand from the EV and energy storage sectors did not rise notably, with battery cells maintaining the destocking trend from the previous month. The price of electrolytes is expected to decrease slightly in the week ending November 10 along with falling LiPF6 prices.
