On September 5th, a joint venture formed by Hunan Jian Tong Group's Zhongxiang Overseas and Zhongxiang Capital signed a cooperation framework agreement with a local energy power plant project company in New Zealand for three photovoltaic projects in Wellington, Opunake and Merton. The total capacity of the project is 280MW, with a total investment of about NZ$414 million. This project is the result of Zhongxiang Overseas actively coordinating with the group's brother units to "go out together".
It is reported that New Zealand's electricity demand will increase by 18-78% in the next thirty years, and it plans to achieve 100% renewable energy generation in 2035 and zero carbon emissions in 2050, making New Zealand the first developed country to achieve 100% clean energy.
