SHANGHAI, Aug 3 (SMM) - SMM battery grade lithium carbonate index was at 267,650 yuan/mt on August 3, down 3,441 yuan/mt from the previous working day; battery grade lithium carbonate price range was 260,000-272,000 yuan/mt, down 3000 yuan/mt from the previous working day; industrial lithium carbonate price range was 245,000-257,000 yuan/mt, down 2,500 yuan/mt from the previous working day. At present, buyers are cautious due to continuous decline in lithium carbonate price. Demand for lithium carbonate has remained weak, exacerbating the wait-and-see sentiment in the market, and the lithium carbonate market may maintain a stalemate in the short term.
