Chengde: The local open-pit iron mines are relatively concentrated. In April, some mines passed the acceptance inspection. Their explosives supply returned to normal and the beneficiation plants resumed production. However, the production resumption was slow; some mines said that they need to expand capacity to meet the new requirement for resumption, and it would take some time; some large mines also said that they need to rebuild their explosive depots and will delay the production process.
Zhangjiakou: Most of the local mines remained closed. Specially, most of the mines in Chicheng County need to re-apply for mining licenses. Some have successfully obtained the mining licenses, while others will not obtain the licenses any time soon. The former ones still need to expand capacity to be qualified for production resumption. Some open-pit mines that mine ROM through machines can maintain operation at their beneficiation plants.
Hanxing: There was still no progress in the local production resumption as large private mines were awaiting approval. Slow production resumption resulted in resources tightness, though the output of local large state-owned mines exceeded expectations.
