China to Address Bottleneck for New Energy Vehicles by Advancing Charging Infrastructure Construction

On May 5, the executive meeting of the State Council was held.

The meeting pointed out that the market for new energy vehicles in rural areas is vast, and accelerating the construction of charging infrastructure will not only help promote the purchase and use of new energy vehicles and release rural consumption potential, but also help develop new formats such as rural tourism and add new impetus to rural revitalisation.

Moreover, the meeting approved implementation opinions on accelerating the construction of charging infrastructure, better supporting new energy vehicles in rural areas and rural revitalisation.
