Nickel Ore Inventories at Chinese Ports Fall 172,000 wmt WoW

SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) - As of March 3, the nickel ore inventory at Chinese ports dipped 172,000 wmt from a week earlier to 7 million wmt. Total Ni content stood at 55,000 mt. The port inventory across seven major Chinese ports stood at 3.61 million wmt, 242,000 wmt lower than the previous week.  The arrivals have remained low recently. NPI plants purchased nickel ore on rigid demand.  It is expected that nickel ore inventory will trend lower in the near future. Before the end of the rainy season in the Philippines, nickel ore stocks may drop to around 6 million mt.
