According to news from Korea International Radio, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources of South Korea announced the key mineral protection strategy on the February 27, designating 10 kinds of minerals required for the production of semiconductors and batteries such as lithium and nickel as key minerals and focusing on management.
The Ministry of Industry of South Korea selected 33 kinds of minerals required by the country's cutting-edge industries such as semiconductors and batteries, and designated 10 of them as "Ten Strategic Key Minerals" for key management.
These ten minerals include lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, graphite, rare earth and so on. The South Korean government will develop a global mineral map and a supply-demand map of key minerals, and establish an early warning system.
