Secondary Crude Lead Prices under Small Orders Stood High on Strong Demand

According to SMM survey, orders for secondary lead smelters were brisk last week, and there were few finished product inventories available for small orders. Some large and medium-sized smelters said that they had more than 1,000 mt of lead ingots for orders delivery, and they will no longer offer for small orders in the near future.

SHANGHAI, Feb 20 (SMM) - According to SMM survey, orders for secondary lead smelters were brisk last week, and there were few finished product inventories available for small orders. Some large and medium-sized smelters said that they had more than 1,000 mt of lead ingots for orders delivery, and they will no longer offer for small orders in the near future.

Some secondary refined lead and alloy smelters said that the supply of secondary crude lead was still tight, and it was difficult to purchase goods with suitable prices and quality standards.

The prices of secondary crude lead stood at around 14,200 yuan/mt last week, delivery to factory, on par with the tax-exclusive ex-works prices of secondary refined lead.
