Spot Pure Nickel Trading is Slack and the Premiums Fall

SHANGHAI, Feb 9 (SMM) - On February 9, premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 6,100-7,500 yuan/mt. The average premium stood at 6,800 /mt, down 600 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. NORNICKEL nickel was quoted at premiums of 5,800-6,100 yuan/mt, with an average premium of 5,950 yuan/mt, down 600 yuan/mt from a day ago. During the week, NORNICKEL nickel arrived at the market one after another, and the premiums trended lower. The inquiries and transactions in the early trading were sluggish. The prices of nickel briquettes were 214,200-214,800 yuan/mt, down 2,000 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Nickel briquette trading was poor as the prices were still higher than the nickel sulphate prices.
