Bonded Zone Inventory of Pure Nickel Drops Slightly Owing to the Growing Demand after the CNY Holiday

SHANGHAI, Jan 20 (SMM) - SMM research showed that the bonded zone inventory of nickel fell WoW this week to 8,000 mt, with the inventory of nickel briquettes and nickel plates of 1,570 mt and 6,430 mt respectively. During the week, some traders cleared customs for the market trading after the CNY holiday amid the high SHFE/LME nickel price ratio and the growing demand for pure nickel post-holiday. The inventory of nickel plates dropped mainly this week. The arrival and customs clearance of nickel briquettes were scarce, mainly because the prices still stood higher than nickel sulphate prices.
