According to the "White Paper on the Development of China Iron Phosphate and Lithium Iron Phosphate Industry (2022)" jointly released by EVTank and Ivy Economic Research Institute and China Battery Industry Research Institute, in 2021, shipments of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials in China were 455000 tons, an increase of 213.8 percent over the same period last year, surpassing shipments of ternary cathode materials for the first time. From the perspective of enterprise competition pattern, in the field of lithium iron phosphate, Hunan Yuneng, German Nano and Hubei Wanrun have a combined market share of 49.5%.

It is understood that in 2021, benefiting from the continued strong market demand for lithium iron phosphate, German nanoproducts are in short supply. At present, the production capacity of the company's qu Jinglin Railway, Qujing German Phase I and Phase II projects are gradually released, and the German Yiwei Project and the Yibin German era are under construction and are expected to be completed and put into production in 2022. As of the first quarter of this year, the company has cumulatively completed the construction of lithium iron phosphate capacity of 155000 tons / year.

The construction of the company's new capacity will not only help to meet the needs of downstream customers, but also further improve the company's competitiveness in the lithium-ion battery material industry.

Soochow Securities said in the research report that German Nano has an annual production capacity of 155000 tons, of which 30, 000 tons of technical transformation increment will gradually be put into production in the fourth quarter; in addition, the company is building a production capacity of 180000 tons, Yiwei Lithium Energy Joint Venture 100000 tons, and Ningde Times Joint Venture 80, 000 tons, which are expected to be put into production in the second and third quarters of 2022, respectively. According to the calculation, the production capacity of the company will reach 335000 tons by the end of 2022, and the production capacity of 440000 tons of manganese iron lithium will be put into production from 2023 to 2024, with a total production capacity of 770000 tons.

In addition, through continuous R & D investment and innovation, German Nano has also made a technological breakthrough in the development of new phosphate cathode materials, and the product has passed the small-scale test link and has been initially put into the construction of the R & D pilot line. The product has passed the small batch verification of downstream customers and has been highly recognized by customers. As an upgraded product of lithium iron phosphate cathode material, the new phosphate cathode material has a higher voltage platform, can significantly improve the energy density of the battery, and retains the advantages of high safety and low cost, with more excellent product performance.

The battery network learned that on the evening of January 5, German Nano announced that it planned to build a "production base project of 330000 tons of new phosphate cathode materials per year" in Qujing Economic and technological Development Zone, with a total investment of about 7.5 billion yuan. the company said that the voltage platform of the new phosphate cathode materials is higher, and the prepared battery has higher energy density, which is more suitable for power batteries.

What is noteworthy is that in view of the rising prices of upstream raw materials, German Nano pointed out in the annual report that the prices of lithium carbonate and bulk chemical raw materials have risen significantly since the end of 2020, and the prices of some tight raw materials have even "jumped". The company's production scale and supply capacity are in the forefront of the industry.
