Qinghai CITIC Guoan Lithium Industry Development Co., Ltd. was established in May 2017 with a registered capital of 400 million yuan. Xitai Jinel Salt Lake developed by the company is rich in potassium, lithium, boron and magnesium brine resources, which is a large lithium mine, accompanied by potassium, magnesium, sulfur, boron and other resources. The endowment of mineral resources is in the forefront of the country. Potassium sulfate, lithium carbonate and other products are related to national food and energy security, and the market demand has remained stable for a long time. According to statistics, the comprehensive development project of ZXitaijinel Salt Lake can support the annual production capacity of 500000 tons of potash fertilizer, 30, 000 tons of lithium carbonate and 10, 000 tons of refined boric acid.

Up to now, the company has built 122square kilometers of salt fields and related auxiliary facilities, staff living areas, self-provided power plants, 110KV substations and so on. The salt lake development project has also changed from 2007 potassium magnesium sulfate fertilizer (about 110000 tons / year) to a single product with an annual output of 400000 tons of KCl/ 300000 tons of potassium sulfate, more than 5000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate, more than 5000 tons of boric acid and magnesium oxide, realizing the comprehensive development and utilization of salt lake resources.

In addition, "Guoan" brand battery-grade lithium carbonate has the best quality in the world's salt lake brine system, and its main customers are domestic leading enterprises in the lithium industry, which has been recognized by the world's major new energy battery manufacturers; the output of potassium sulfate in salt lake system is the second in China, and the main customers are the leading enterprises in domestic agricultural materials industry.

In the process of calcination, the step of removing boron is also involved, which reacts with magnesium oxide to form magnesium borate.
