On July 13, China Mobile announced the bid-winning candidates for the centralized procurement of lithium iron phosphate battery products for communications from 2021 to 2022. Ten enterprises, including Lilang Battery, Shuangdeng Group, Nandu Power supply, Penghui Energy, Linkage Tianyi, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Tuobang shares, Zhongtian Technology, Haisida and Jiabeth, won the bid.
The bid quotations and winning bids of the winning candidates are as follows:

According to the previously issued procurement tender announcement, the project purchased lithium iron phosphate battery 923 million Ah (monomer specification 3.2V), based on which it is estimated that the procurement demand is about 2.95GWh. The maximum bid price for the project is RMB 2.3674312 billion excluding tax.
The project requires bidders to have a number of qualifications, including the total assets at the end of 2019 are not less than 100 million yuan, must establish a sound quality management system and pass the ISO14001 environmental management system certification and so on.
For the bidding lithium iron phosphate battery products, it is required that the cumulative sales performance in China during the period from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020 is not less than 50 million yuan; each capacity of 48V LFP battery products should pass the state-recognized third-party certification bodies (through CMA and CNAS certification), and provide complete and effective test reports, etc.
5G base station construction as the main force of China's seven "new infrastructure", including China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Radio and Television, China Tower, Huawei and other operators are in this field.
According to the analysis, according to the previous 4G promotion and application cycle, it is speculated that the peak period of 5G base station construction will be from 2021 to 2023, and the demand of lithium iron phosphate battery for 5G base station in 2021 is expected to reach 10GWh.
