Rusal will inject 4.5 billion rubles into the modernization of Sayanogorsk and Khakas aluminum smelters

Recently, Russian aluminum company (RUSAL) announced that it will invest 4.5 billion rubles this year to modernize its Sayanogorsk and Khakas aluminum smelters.

Most of the money will be used to enhance the production of electrodes, install new equipment in the foundry sector and improve the energy efficiency of enterprises. Rusal will carry out a large-scale modernization of the anode baking furnace in the electrode production facility as part of the modernization of the Sayanogorsk smelter. The new advanced equipment will reduce the environmental impact of the smelter, improve the energy efficiency of enterprises and improve the quality of products. It is understood that the construction and installation of the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.
