[Trump's latest warning: impeachment poses a "great danger" to the United States he "does not want violence." on January 12, US President Donald Trump made comments on last week's congressional riots, warning that it is dangerous for the United States to be impeached for his actions. Trump also said his remarks made at a party shortly before thousands of supporters broke into the Congress hall last Wednesday were harmless.

"people think what I said is completely appropriate," Trump told reporters when asked about his personal responsibility for the violence.

Before the riots, he and his family urged supporters to fight alongside him at a party to reverse Biden's victory in the Electoral College.

In a speech before leaving for Texas on Tuesday, Trump said the planned impeachment in the Democratic-led House of Representatives was "actually a continuation of the largest political frame-up in politics."

"this is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous," Trump said in his first comments to the media since the riots. One congressional policeman was killed and at least four others were killed in the riots.

"this impeachment has caused a lot of anger, and that's what you're doing, and what they're doing is really scary," Trump said.

"if [House Speaker] Pelosi and [Senate Democratic Leader] Schumer continue to follow this path, I think it will cause great danger and anger to our country," he said. "

Trump added: "I don't want violence."

"as far as this is concerned, we don't want violence, we absolutely don't want violence," Trump said. "

But he did not explicitly condemn the actions of his supporters in the Capitol, who were motivated by protesting and preventing Congress from confirming Biden's election as the next president.

Since last week, Trump has been blocked by several social media platforms because of his comments. "I think the big technology companies have made a serious mistake," he added. "

Trump was clearly referring to the blockade of his account by Twitter and other media, which he said was "very bad for our country and led others to do the same."

"it creates a lot of problems and a lot of dangers. Big mistake. They shouldn't have done that, "Trump said.

"but when they do, there is always a counterattack. I've never seen such anger. It's a terrible thing. "

Asked if he would resign before the end of his term next week, Trump did not answer.

Trump is about to face a second impeachment. House Democrats first impeached Trump at the end of 2019 after he pressured Ukraine's president that summer to announce that the country was investigating alleged misconduct by Biden and his son Hunt.

Three members of Trump's cabinet resigned after Wednesday's riots: transportation Secretary Zhao Xiaolan (Elaine Chao), Education Secretary Becky DeVos (Betsy DeVos) and acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf (Chad Wolf).

Chaos in the Capitol lasted for hours, interrupting the vote in a joint session of Congress, but Biden's election was confirmed Thursday morning under the supervision of Vice President Pence.

The attorney general of the District of Columbia said on Monday that he would investigate whether criminal charges were filed against Trump, his son Donald (Donald Trump Jr.) Jr., Rudy Giuliani (Rudy Giuliani), the president's personal lawyer, and Representative Mo Brooks, Republican of Alabama. Trump supporters spoke at a White House party just before they invaded the Capitol.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Kevin McCarthy) reportedly told members of the Republican caucus on the same day that Trump was partly responsible for the riots.
