Aluminium billet inventories fell for 2 weeks

Stocks declined on the back of decent consumption

SHANGHAI, Oct 24 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China declined for the second straight week as of October 24 on the back of decent consumption. 

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China shrank 11,100 mt from October 17 to stand at 118,100 mt as of Thursday October 24, following a decline of 7,600 mt in the previous week. 

Inventory 

Foshan, Guangdong – 64,000 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 18,900 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 16,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang –10,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 9,200 mt

[SMM Aluminum Express News] Emirates Global Aluminium acquired an 80% stake in Italy-based Eco Green, strengthening its downstream recycling footprint in Europe. Eco Green processes over 70,000 tpy of aluminum scrap, with expansion underway to add 15,000 tpy of recycled capacity by H2 2026.
