Imports, domestic materials grow zinc social inventories

Stocks across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong rose by some 1,300 mt from last Friday to 157,900 mt as of Monday Oct 22

SHANGHAI, Oct 22 (SMM) – Imports and domestic materials grew social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong by some 1,300 mt from last Friday to 157,900 mt as of Monday October 22, SMM data showed.

Inventories shrank 700 mt from Monday October 15. While imports and domestic cargoes grew stocks in Shanghai and Tianjin, limited arrivals and downstream purchases kept inventories in Guangdong flat over the weekend.

SMM expects limited upward room in overall stocks this week.
