Ivanhoe Mines reported that Kamoa-Kakula’s third-quarter copper production, including smelter output, rose 19% quarter on quarter to 76,400 tonnes, while sales increased 9% to 67,000 tonnes. Full-year production is expected near the lower end of its 290,000–310,000-tonne guidance. The company cut its 2027 forecast from 380,000–420,000 tonnes to 300,000–350,000 tonnes, reducing the midpoint by 75,000 tonnes. High diesel costs, lower feed grades and reduced output also prompted an increase in 2027 C1 cost guidance to US$2.50–3.00/lb. A 35-day smelter shutdown is planned for the first half of 2027 for safety and efficiency upgrades, temporarily affecting sulphuric acid and other by-product supplies.Kipushi’s quarterly zinc sales rose 60% to a record 69,400 tonnes, with C1 costs of US$0.91/l
