According to Jereh New Energy Regeneration and Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Jereh Regeneration and Recycling), on October 19, Jereh Regeneration and Recycling, together with Anhui Jietu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., signed an agreement with the People's Government of Yingshang County for a retired power battery resource utilization project. The project is located in the Yingshang Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province, focusing on the standardized disposal, large-scale utilization, and high-value regeneration of retired power batteries. It is expected to be constructed in two phases with a capacity of 100,000 mt/year for lithium battery resource recycling and repair, helping to build a full-chain, closed-loop new energy resource recycling industry ecosystem.

The project is located in the Yingshang Economic Development Zone in Anhui, focusing on the standardized disposal, large-scale utilization, and high-value regeneration of retired power batteries. It is planned to be built in two phases as a 100,000 mt/year lithium battery resource recycling and repair project, helping to build a full-chain closed-loop new energy resource recycling industry ecosystem.

According to public information, Jereh Regeneration and Recycling is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jereh Corporation (002353), established in 2015 with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan. The company's main businesses include lithium, wind and solar power resource recycling, oil sludge resource utilization, soil remediation, and sludge reduction.

It is understood that Jereh Regeneration and Recycling has initially established a nationwide lithium battery resource footprint, building a lithium battery resource industry presence across six major regions: Northwest China, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, central China, Southwest China, the Greater Bay Area, and the Yangtze River Delta. Its standardized station construction system has reached mature implementation.

Battery Network noted that in September, Jereh Regeneration and Recycling also held a signing ceremony for an investment agreement on a retired power battery and battery positive electrode recycling, disposal, and utilization project with the People's Government of Nandu Town, Liyang City, Jiangsu Province. The first phase of the project has a total investment of 400 million yuan, with plans to build two lithium battery recycling production lines and one lithium battery repair production line. Once the project reaches full production, it will have an annual processing capacity of 50,000 mt of retired power batteries.

In addition, in July, Jereh Regeneration and Recycling's Chongqing lithium battery resource recycling station commenced operations. At the event, the company signed cooperation agreements with nine industry enterprises, including Saudi EADA, UAE Witthal Gulf, Hithium New Materials, Tinci Resource Recycling, and Jietu Technology, further deepening its business layout in lithium battery resource recycling and electrode repair.

Japan’s GSA Opens Battery Direct Regeneration Lab in Switzerland
【Japan’s GSA Opens Battery Direct Regeneration Laboratory in Switzerland】Japanese green technology company Green Science Alliance and the Swiss Battery Technology Center have opened a battery direct regeneration laboratory at the Swiss Innovation Park in Biel/Bienne, Canton of Bern. The technology directly regenerates cathode active materials from mechanically processed black mass without acid-base leaching for individual metal extraction, covering both NMC and LFP chemistries. Published laboratory results indicate that batteries made with regenerated cathode materials achieve over 90% of the initial capacity of equivalent commercial-material batteries. Under the collaboration, Green Science Alliance provides the technology while the Swiss Battery Technology Center contributes research capability, infrastructure, and laboratory facilities; the two parties jointly conduct materials assessment, electrode and cell manufacturing, performance testing, and industrialization and scalability evaluation. The first phase of the collaboration is supported by an Innosuisse Innovation Cheque.
