China Alumina Trade in 2026: Net Export of 169,000 Tons with Imports Up 16.3% and Exports Down 3.5%

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's alumina import and export situation in 2026 is as follows: overall, China was a net exporter of 169,000 tons.

Imports: In 2026, China imported 69,800 tons of alumina, up 16.3% year-on-year and down 80.04% month-on-month; cumulative imports from January to September totaled 3.0631 million tons, up 458.5% year-on-year.

Exports: In 2026, China exported 237,700 tons of alumina, down 3.5% year-on-year and up 44.05% month-on-month; cumulative exports from January to September totaled 2.5769 million tons, up 28.87% year-on-year.
