Zizhu High-Tech: Aluminum-Plastic Film and Solid-State Battery Projects in Early R&D, Commercialization Uncertain

Published: Oct 19, 2026 11:32 (GMT+8)
Zizhu High-Tech announced that the company has noted the recent widespread market attention on the "solid-state battery" concept. As of now, the company's aluminum-plastic film products for lithium batteries and the aforementioned concept-related business are still in the early exploration and R&D stage. There is significant uncertainty as to when these can be commercialized and generate stable, large-scale revenue for the company.

POSTECH and POSCO Holdings Develop Sequential Calcination Process for Single-Crystal Cathodes
POSTECH announced on October 19 that its researchers, working with Kangwon National University, POSCO Holdings and IIT Bombay, developed a sequential calcination process that controls cathode particle growth by changing the oxygen concentration during heat treatment. The team calcined NCM613 cathode material at 950°C for six hours, using air for the first four hours and oxygen for the remaining two hours. The resulting cathode retained 83.04% of its initial capacity after 100 charge–discharge cycles at 45°C, compared with approximately 77% for samples processed exclusively in air or oxygen. The findings were published in Advanced Science.

General Administration of Customs: Integrated circuit exports grew 99.1% in the first three quarters
Data from the General Administration of Customs show that in the first three quarters, China's equipment manufacturing industry played a prominent leading role, contributing nearly 90% of export growth. Intermediate products accounted for more than half of total export value, effectively serving as a "stabilizing anchor" for global production and supply chains. Exports are becoming smarter and greener, with integrated circuit exports up 99.1%, and green product exports such as EVs, lithium batteries, wind turbines, and parts growing 72.3%, 36.4%, and 22.4%, respectively.

Zhenyu Technology: Net profit for the first three quarters of 2026 expected to grow 57.79%-69.93% YoY
Zhenyu Technology announced that attributable net profit for the first three quarters of 2026 is expected to be 650 million-700 million yuan, compared with 412 million yuan in the same period last year, up 57.79%-69.93% YoY. Non-GAAP net profit is expected to be 620 million-670 million yuan, compared with 398 million yuan in the same period last year, up 55.82%-68.38% YoY. The earnings growth was mainly driven by downstream lithium battery demand growth, particularly for ESS batteries, the gradual ramp-up of new capacity for motor cores, higher capacity utilization rates, and cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives. The above figures are preliminary estimates and have not been audited by an accounting firm.
