SMM, October 12: According to SMM, Baiyin Nonferrous Group’s Northwest Lead-Zinc Smelter held a public tender last weekend for the sale of approximately 220 mt of crude cadmium, which was successfully concluded. According to official sources, the transaction price was settled at a slight discount to the SMM average price for #1 cadmium. Market participants noted that, given the recent strength in cadmium prices, the successful tender at a relatively high price reflects solid market demand.

SMM News, October 12: According to official sources from a major southwest‑based plant, the 25‑tonne‑metal‑content crude selenium offered for public sale recently was successfully transacted over the past weekend.
SMM understands that the official side declined to disclose the identity of the ultimate buyer for this batch of crude selenium, but stated that the transaction price stood at around RMB 145,000 per tonne.
