[SMM PV Flash] Heliene’s US-Made Residential Solar Module Secures Sunrun Purchase Agreement

Heliene has launched its 108HC All-Black residential solar module using US-made polysilicon, ingots, wafers and cells, with final module assembly in the United States and selected components still sourced globally. Sunrun has signed a purchase agreement for the product, although volume, pricing and delivery terms were not disclosed, so the announcement confirms a supply relationship rather than a quantified capacity commitment. Heliene operates two US module plants with approximately 1.3 GW of combined annual capacity, and the product reflects growing emphasis on domestic content and supply-chain traceability in the US residential market.

[SMM PV Flash] Australia Adds 1.89 GW of Rooftop Solar and 276,000 Home Batteries in H1 2026

Australia installed approximately 1.89 GW of rooftop solar across more than 180,000 systems in the first half of 2026, around 30% above the preceding six months and a new half-year record. More than 276,000 home batteries were installed over the same period, up about 52%, taking total adoption to over 4.5 million homes and small businesses with rooftop solar and more than 700,000 battery systems by the end of June. The figures indicate that subsidy support and household electricity costs are shifting the residential market from stand-alone PV growth toward more integrated solar-plus-storage deployment.

[SMM PV Flash] Forsa Acquires 59.3 MWp Ready-to-Build UK Solar Project

UK independent power producer Forsa Energy has acquired the 59.3 MWp Wormald Green solar project in North Yorkshire at the ready-to-build stage. Developed by Harmony Energy, the project is expected to reach financial close and enter construction in the fourth quarter of 2026, with commercial operations targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027. The asset will become the first ready-to-build solar project in Forsa’s near-term construction pipeline and complement its existing generation portfolio and approximately 260 MW battery development pipeline, while transaction terms were not disclosed.
