[Double holiday impact drives galvanising operating rates down]: This week, operating rates of galvanising producers fell to 36.52%, down 16.87 percentage points WoW. On the raw material side, as the holiday approaches, enterprises continued to restock and pick up goods, leading to an increase in raw material inventory.

SMM, September 30: This week, operating rates of galvanising producers fell to 36.52%, down 16.87 percentage points WoW. Raw material side, affected by the approaching holiday, enterprises continued to restock and pick up goods, increasing raw material inventory. Consumption side, mainly affected by the concentrated Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, effective production time for enterprises decreased significantly. Demand side, recent orders showed divergence, with steel tower orders relatively better, some enterprises having strong order support and relatively fewer holiday days, maintaining certain production resilience; while other traditional galvanising orders remained weak, new orders insufficient, some enterprises having longer holiday breaks, overall production schedules significantly affected. Next week, with the National Day holiday continuing, some enterprises will remain on holiday, and the industry operating rate is expected to edge down to 36.15%.

Adamera Completes Preliminary Talisman Underground Inspection; Detailed Assessment Still Required
Adamera Minerals announced that JDS Energy & Mining had completed a preliminary underground inspection at its wholly owned Talisman project in Washington State. No immediate impediment to safe re-entry was identified, and mineralization including sphalerite was observed near the portal and adit. More than 200 soil samples await results. Significant underground work still requires detailed geotechnical assessment, support design and stope inspection. Mineral observations do not establish grade, continuity, tonnage or economic potential.

【SMM Flash News】Windfall Renews 592 Hectares of Bathurst Claims to Advance Zinc-Copper Target Validation
Windfall Geotek announced renewal of 592 hectares of claims in Canada’s Bathurst Mining Camp. Zinc targets at Upper Sprig Brook were generated using an AI model trained on zinc-copper assays from seven local volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. The company plans historical-data compilation and rock or soil sampling to advance target validation and subsequent drill targeting. No new drilling assays or mineral resource estimate were announced.

Nine Mile’s Second Rig Arrives at Tribag–West Wedge to Test Seven Electromagnetic Targets
Nine Mile Metals announced that its second rig had arrived at Tribag–West Wedge in New Brunswick, Canada, with drilling expected to begin at Tribag in the coming days. Seven modelled electromagnetic targets are associated with the Tribag lead-zinc and West Wedge copper-lead-zinc occurrences. Wedge drilling continues in parallel. By September 21, the company had completed 18 holes totaling 4,934.50 metres of its 10,000-metre annual program. The conductors remain geophysical targets requiring drilling to establish their source.
