SMM Flash News】Rockfire Starts Updated Resource Estimate for Greece’s Molaoi Zinc Deposit

Rockfire Resources announced that GeoRes Mining Consultants had commenced a maiden JORC Inferred germanium resource estimate at its 100%-owned Molaoi zinc deposit in Greece. The work will also remodel the principal zinc lodes and produce an updated Inferred zinc resource, with results expected within four weeks. Drilling to upgrade the existing resource from Inferred to Indicated is continuing, with hole HMO-022 currently in progress.

Molaoi currently hosts a JORC Inferred Mineral Resource of 15.0 million tonnes grading 7.26% zinc, 1.75% lead and 39.50 g/t silver, using a 4% lower-grade cut-off. This equates to approximately 1.09 million tonnes of zinc, 260,000 tonnes of lead and 19.1 million ounces of silver. Portable-XRF readings from HMO-022 also identified a roughly 1-cm-wide chalcopyrite vein with a single reading of 12% Cu; Rockfire explicitly cautioned that the pXRF reading is preliminary and is not a substitute for laboratory assays.

King Global Critical Minerals reported results from systematic sampling of the historic Golden Turkey tailings at its Black Canyon project in Arizona. A total of 76 near-surface tailings samples collected on an approximately 30-foot grid returned arithmetic averages of around 3.85 g/t gold, 76.2 g/t silver, 0.44% lead and 0.42% zinc. The company explicitly states that these results characterise only the sampled near-surface population and should not be interpreted as the average grade of the entire Golden Turkey tailings deposit or combined with historical tailings-volume estimates to calculate contained metal. King plans additional vertical sampling, representative bulk-density measurements and metallurgical testing while continuing discussions with the U.S. Forest Service and other regulators regarding potential removal, off-site processing and reclamation of the historic tailings.

Glenstar Reports Polymetallic Mineralisation in All 10 Phase 1 Holes at Wildhorse, One 5-Foot Interval Exceeds 1% Zinc

Glenstar Minerals reported assay progress from Phase 1 reverse-circulation drilling at the Wildhorse project in Nevada. Ten holes were completed—four at the Coca Cola Zone and six at Rattlesnake—and results received to date show silver-copper-lead-zinc polymetallic mineralisation in all completed holes. Mineralised downhole intervals are approximately 50–100 feet, including narrower higher-grade intervals of around 5–25 feet. One five-foot sample from Coca Cola hole CCZRC-3 returned more than 1.0% zinc and is awaiting over-limit analysis. Seventy-one samples from Rattlesnake hole RTZRC-6 remain under assay, while selected gold assays are also pending. Glenstar states that the reported intervals are downhole lengths and true widths have not yet been determined.

Masivo Intersects 32.5 Metres of Polymetallic Mineralisation at Cerro Colorado Grading 0.271% Zinc and 0.141% Lead

Masivo Silver reported assays from CC-26-001, the first hole of its 2026 drilling program at the Cerro Colorado project in Sonora, Mexico. The hole intersected 32.50 metres from 226.30 to 258.80 metres grading 0.271% zinc, 0.141% lead, 7.0 g/t silver, 0.025% copper and 0.010 g/t gold. A separate 5.10-metre interval from 215.10 metres graded 0.611% zinc, 0.121% lead and 24.0 g/t silver. The hole was terminated at 259.5 metres because of technical drilling difficulties while still within altered and mineralised rock. Masivo plans to integrate the assays with geological, structural, alteration and geophysical information to guide follow-up drilling testing lateral and vertical continuity. The company states that all reported intervals are drilled lengths and true widths have not yet been determined.
